Photo’s……

When choosing your reference photos please keep these points in mind. To get the very best drawing possible, we need the very best reference photo to work from. The more detail that can be seen from the photo (from the strands of fur…to that bit of dribble hanging down from his mouth!)….the more detailed your finished drawing will be. (We also offer a Photography Service to residents of the Isle of wight, so we can guarantee your ref photo will be of fabulous quality!) When taking your own photo’s it is best to capture them in natural light, without a flash. Making sure you are close enough to see the details in the eyes…to the colour of the nostrils ? It is often handy to provide us with a few different photo’s….in different poses….so we can have a look through and decide together which pose will lend itself best to drawing. This way we also have a few different images of the fur colours etc, to achieve the best likeness of your pet. The most important part of capturing your fur baby, i feel….are the eyes! If the eyes in your photo are nice and clear, and we can pick out the details…then we are good to go!!!

Size……

Below we have a list of our portrait sizes and prices. When placing your order please state which size you would like, or request a ‘custom’ size, and we will work with you to achieve this. The smaller sizes on our list are only suitable for portraits of one animal, if you would like multiple animals on your portrait, please pick from the larger size. Feel free to drop us a message if you’re not sure.

Time……

We almost always have a waiting list! this can be anything from weeks to months depending how many commissions we have booked in. There may be certain points of the year…eg, the run up to xmas…where we will have to temporarily close our order books to catch up. But we will always make this clear both here and over on my Facebook page. Commissions can take anything from a few days to a few weeks to complete, depending on the size of the portrait and the amount of detail in the reference photo. We will always keep you updated through your chosen method of communication…email, facebook, whatsapp etc.

Social Media……

We run the main part of our business through social media…Facebook….Instagram…..Twitter…..etc. We post updates almost daily of whichever commission we are working on. We also post time lapses, short videos, and live feeds of these commissions being completed. If your portrait is a gift, or you would rather we didn’t share any images of it being worked on, or the final piece, then please let us know when you contact us to place your order. We would hate for a surprise birthday gift to be ruined because they caught on glimpse through our pages!!

Deposit and Payment Plans……

When you place your order, we will require a 25% non refundable deposit to secure your slot. This will secure your space in line, so if we happen to get through our portraits quicker than expected we can move straight onto yours, rather than waiting till then to start sending out invoices. We also have the option of payment plans. Again…with your 25% deposit, it secures your slot, you can then pay off your account over a period of time (agreed at the time of ordering)…instead of all in one go! Feel free to pay it off all in one go if you like!!!!! All payment plans need to be paid off within the time frame agreed. Your finished piece will not be able to be posted to you until all payments  have been made. Payment invoices are usually sent our through PayPal, but we also take Bank Transfer.

Postage……

All portraits are sealed with fixative, packaged in a protective cellophane sleeve, and then wrapped in our very special wrapping materials. Each portrait comes with a Certificate of Authenticity too. It is then packaged in a card back envelope (or box, depending on portrait size) to keep it safe during transit. We post Tracked and Sign For, First Class, through Royal Mail. If you are overseas, please allow 2-3 weeks transit time.
